A resident of Southern California, Mohsen “Max” Motamedian led a successful career managing a company in the holistic health-care niche before his current role in computer sales. Mohsen Motamedian received degrees in electronics and biomedical engineering from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). The university was rated among the top public schools and regional universities in the West, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2019 Best Colleges rankings.

To establish the line-ups, US News utilized the Basic Classification system from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Based on objective data, weights were assigned to six indicators to obtain the results, which include faculty resources, outcomes, financial resources, alumni giving, expert opinion, and student excellence.
CSULB is also regularly recognized by other award programs for its outstanding attributes, such as The Best in the West in Public Schools by the Princeton Review, Top School for Latinos by Latino Leaders Magazine, and Best Value College by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s list. In 2017, there were over 103,000 applicants, which earned CSULB the distinction of being the academic institution with the most applicants in the California State University system.
